We submitted a technical response to the European Commission’s consultation on general-purpose AI guidelines. Our submission addresses potential gaps in the draft, including compute-based classification thresholds, downstream modifier obligations, and discusses cases where low-compute modifications can significantly alter model safety profiles.
We also published a white paper with our proposal on classifying GPAI models and providers of such models in line with the AI Act. The analysis is shared with the EU AI Office.
